Ensemble Video Announces Scott Nadzan as Chief Executive Officer
The Board of Directors of Symphony Video, Inc., the makers of the Ensemble Video online video platform, announced today it has named Scott Nadzan as chief executive officer.
With evolving disruptions in the online learning and video communication technologies, Nadzan is eager to transform and lead Ensemble Video to the forefront of innovation.
“I am committed to moving the company and platform forward to help individuals, groups and organizations use video technology to improve teaching, learning and engagement,” Nadzan said.
Nadzan, an Ensemble Video co-founder and former vice-president of marketing and sales, has witnessed video, software and lecture capture platforms grow and evolve since the early 2000s.
“We’ve all seen our day-to-day activities disrupted by a collision of online video technologies and our mobile lifestyles,” Nadzan continued. “This disruption brings challenges and opportunities as many institutions struggle to integrate evidence-based best practices into their online learning and communication initiatives. We have the opportunity to support our customers with an extension of our platform that will ensure their video learning and engagement harmonizes with every user’s mobile lifestyles. Our goal is for all of our customers to be able to maximize the return on investment they make in online video.”
Nadzan is replacing Andy Covell, Ensemble Video’s former chief executive officer. Covell is transitioning to serve as the company’s chief operating officer and president.
“It has been a tremendous honor to serve as the CEO of Ensemble Video since we started in 2007. I am incredibly proud of everything our team has accomplished together,” Covell said. “Ensemble Video has grown and evolved through an exciting period of rapid improvements to streaming media technology and growth in the online video marketplace.”
Covell and Nadzan will continue working closely together to ensure a seamless transition and continuation of Ensemble Video’s growth.
“The Board and I are confident that Scott is the right person to build on this momentum,” Covell added. “He is a competitive leader with significant experience working with digital media, software platform and technology. We are fortunate to have him as our next CEO.”
Nadzan credits Covell for his strong leadership as CEO for the past 13 years. He draws inspiration from his work ethic and creativity, attributes that Nadzan expects to harness when writing the next chapter in the Ensemble Video’s story.
“I am honored and energized by the opportunity to assume leadership of this great company and platform,” Nadzan said. “I have deep respect and appreciation for all the work that has taken place to build Ensemble Video, and I look forward to working closely with the board and team members to extend our platform.”
Prior to his role at Ensemble Video, Nadzan was the Director of Technology Services for the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. He also has taught undergraduate courses at multiple universities. Before joining Syracuse University, Nadzan spent several years in the digital media, software and technology industries, developing an array of solutions to support instruction, communication and commerce.
