SUNYLA 2013 Conference

SUNYLA promotes the professional development and collaboration of library personnel across the university, in order to advance library service(s) to SUNY campuses and the people of New York State.

The theme of this year’s conference “Opening Minds, Inspiring Tomorrow ” reflects the ever-increasing accessibility of academic libraries, and the movement toward open education.

The keynote address, “Reclaiming Open: The Many Benefits of Truly Open Education”, will be presented by Dr. David Wiley, Associate Professor of Instructional Psychology and Technology at Brigham Young University.

Stop by our booth, and share your video challenges and triumphs with Ensemble Video Communications Coordinator, Annabel Hine. In the meantime, here’s a taste of what Ensemble Video’s new Restricted Streaming feature can do for academic libraries: Ensemble Helps Libraries Stream Licensed Content

SUNY STC 2013 Conference

The annual SUNY Technology Conference (STC) is the foremost forum at which SUNY’s technology communities join together to grow as professionals, to learn about advances in the marketplace, and to discuss approaches for addressing common issues.

This year’s SUNY STC theme is “Services in the Cloud: To the Cloud and Beyond”. The evolution to various cloud services will be explored and discussed in an effort to identify how this emerging platform can best serve the students, faculty and staff of SUNY and higher education, in general.
