A collaborative effort developed in Central New York involving Ensemble Video (a patent-pending enterprise video content management software system developed by Symphony Video, a Syracuse University technology start-up company, Syracuse University, and the Central New York Community Foundation) made it possible for GreeningUSA, a 501 (c)(3) membership association headquartered in Central New York, to accelerate the promotion of its green initiatives through video. This collaboration is unique in the United States.

The collaboration debuted when Syracuse Mayor Matthew Driscoll and Onondaga County Executive Joanie Mahoney addressed the annual meeting of GreeningUSA at the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce, during which they discussed the city and county’s current efforts and future planning in terms of environmental and economical sustainability to improve our community. This and other events are available at the GreeningUSA (www.greeningusa.org) and CNY Video Showcase (www.cnyvs.com) websites.

Mark Naef, president of GreeningUSA and founder of Naef Recycling, CNY’s largest independent recycling center, is excited to announce “that the entire meeting for the first time ever will be made available to all of Central New York with Ensemble Video—a web-based video initiative that enables people to share information without the barriers of distance and time.” Ensemble Video (http://www.ensemblevideo.com/), a flexible and easy-to-use distributed video content administration model, is ideal for organizations that want to manage video on their media servers and within their own computing environment.Ensemble integrates well with a wide range of video technologies.
